I saw Baton Rouge is getting one in Towne Center?
I youtubed them and it looks like a group HIIT cardio center where a trainer leads. The idea sounds great but I was wondering if anyone had used them before and what your thoughts were.

"I really like it because it's orange and it shows my heart rate! Take my money!"

Sounds like another terrible place in south Louisiana

It's the new flavor of repackaged, cookie cutter group training. Nothing more nothing less.
The towne center one isn't open yet?

I Know someone that work in one elsewhere and it seems okay. My advice would be go to a gym or just workout in your own. You don't need someone to tell you that you are in the "orange zone". It's just a fancy way to say now your heart rate is beating fast enough to do something worth a damn.

Oh I'm not planning on joining. I go workout on my own. I was just curious about the place.

My fiancé goes to the one in Towne Center. She seems to like it. She told me something about monitoring your heart rate until you reach the "orange zone" but I wasn't paying attention.

My mom goes to the one in Towne Center. She loves it. I've got some friends in Austin who joined. They said it's basically high intensity interval training. Similar in some ways to Crossfit but without lifting heavy weights. You're also a lot less likely to injure yourself because the workouts can be scaled to just about any fitness level. Also supposedly you get continued calorie burn for something like 12 hours after you finish.

Wife goes to one in cinco ranch
She likes it
They vary the workouts to keep it interesting
It is expensive - $159/month and you have to book classes in advance. If you book and don't show up, they charge you $10 each time

You wanna get your heart rate in the Orange Zone join the Military as a line combat troop.
Or hang out in Memphis after dark.
At least the furst one will be paying you instead of the other way around.
