Thinking about going to allergist finally but want to avoid going every month for a shot. I found out about Ollereg and thought it might be worth a try. Has anyone tried it and had success?

I haven't but I did do the shots. I forget how long I did them but it changed my life. I had REALLY bad allergies. I went for a couple weeks and got them at the doctor's office and after a month I started doing them myself.

I know that doesn't really answer your question but, at least in my experience, I was able to eventually do them at home.

I thought they made you go in to the office to do them due to the chance of a reaction.

Have you heard about local honey? My sisters friend is beekeeper and he's told stories about local honey being a huge success in people getting over their allergies. I have no clue, just heard the stories this past weekend that it slowly introduces the body to the different pollens in the area.

I don't know, just curious if you tried it or heard about it.

I did shots for two years and they helped a lot, but I plateaued. Since then, I’ve been on Flonase every day for many years. Works great for me.

I tried to convince my wife that the doctor ordered it, but she said she wanted to see it written on a prescription pad from him.

Did it for about a year. Didn’t really see any differences. Doctor told me I’d have to keep it going probably for another year. The drops were nasty as hell and would make my mouth feel crazy and my throat scratchy. I hated them. Then there would be a few days I would forget to do them. If I did it again, I may chose the shots. I didn’t want to go once a month and sit there for an hour, but on hindsight, I think that’s better than the daily drops.

For a period of time they do. I think I did mine weekly at the office for the first month then went home. The visits weren't bad either. Pretty much just check in and go back and get the shot. Maybe 15-20 minutes total.

Xyzal at night and Nasacort spray in the morning has been the most effective way of keeping my allergies in check.

I gave myself shots for two years. Quit taking them one day and now I rarely sneeze at all. No irritated eyes either.

I did the allergy drops myself for a little over 2 years. It seemed convenient at first but having to do the drops twice a day every day was really annoying. Never mind feeling bad if I missed one of the drops in the morning or at night. It didn't help that my Allergist ended up being a quack (anything wrong with you, antibiotics for 30 days) and honestly I didn't see much of a change. Stopped doing them a year ago.

I've actually been looking to go back to an Allergist as well. This time though it'll be the shots. Even if I have to go get allergy shots once a week once a week it seems better than having to do the drops every day. My hope is to find an Allergist who will do what others have mentioned. Do the first couple of shots in the office and then let me self-administer at home. Either that or allergy shots once a month.
