What a weird place to live. Do they have someone at the front desk enforcing the rules? I bet it's depressing in there

Have you looked at it? It's literally built to look like the Ten Commandments.

When I worked for the last census during college I was assigned those buildings. They were shitty then and full of less than desirable tenants - so much so that I assumed those buildings had some form of government subsidized housing (section 8).

And you will hate the traffic. Hate.

Do not live there. The girl that cuts my hair at super cuts moved down to Baton Rouge from upstate New York to go to the cult religious school that runs the place and lives there. She told me they can't have alcohol, no people of opposite sex in the rooms, and that if you're caught violating any of those they'll kick you out.

My father lives there. He is an extreme religious person with no money and Parkinsons. It is all sorts of depressing there. I think he pays about $350 (yep tree fiddy) a month for what is essentially 2 dorm rooms converted into a 1 bedroom apt. Cinderblock walls, a sink in each room and an industrial bathroom in the middle. Its basically a large jail cell with almost as many rules with the exception of being able to come and go as you please.

No interest in the place but how do they enforce that? Do they strip search you when you arrive every day? Search your grocery bags and crap? Can't see how difficult it would be to get alcohol into an apartment.

Pretty sure they have some sort of room cleaning service that they can use to monitor it

I am moving to BR. I need a place to stay and they have some pretty good prices. The thing is I've read it is a place for religious people. My girlfriend would stay over one night a week. Should I look elsewhere?

I'ts not nearly for religious people. I've delivered pizzas to it many times. DO NOT RENT THERE.

The RA/front desk employee is less attentive than a kid at the bottom of Herget or Miller. Usually a complete dumb arse who don't enforce shite.

Look, if you're busted just summon up some tears and say "I have sinned!" and they'll make you their leader.

Do not, I repeat, do not move into Bluebonnet Towers. That place is like something from a Steven King novel.

look elsewhere. they are old dorms for Jimmy Swaggart's bible college. I went in once to buy a fridge from a guy and it felt like an insane asylum. There is no full sink and no kitchen in the rooms.
