My 10 year old Lab went missing from my house in Denham Springs last Tuesday.

He has gotten out the yard a few times but usually never leaves our yard just hangs out under carport. Only time he ever left that I know of was during a bad thunderstorm.

I have drove around the neighborhood for multiple times looking for him, printed flyers and posted on Telephone poles, Added him to Nextdoor app, and Livingston Lost Pets to no avail.

I would assume now somebody stole him but I just can't fathom why someone would steal a dog like him from any family.

Any other advice to try and find him? He is microchipped.

I don't think anyone would steal a 10 year old dog but I guess anything is possible. Probably just lost.

Yes, funny thing is we "found" the dog 3 years later. Parked at the grocery store and as I was walking by some cars I hear a dog barking. I turn to look just to see and turns out it was my old dog. Waited outside for the owner and turned out he bought the dog from someone else and had it for a couple of years. I didn't take the dog back since it was in good health and the guy was older and all.

So he got out and ran off, and you think someone stole him? All evidence points to him running off, no one stole your 10 year old dog.

Had a beagle stolen from our back yard. She was a pet, not a hunting dog. Through a stroke of luck, my mom and sister figured out who had the dog. The bum that stole her was showing off the collar to a guy who’s kids went to school with us. Cops got involved and we got her back 3 days later.

The beagle lived another 12 years dying at the ripe old age of 16. She outlived her kidnapper by 3 years.

I see that you're posting signs around the neighborhood. Are you offering a reward? Money seems to motivate people to do the right thing from time to time.

Good luck!! I hope you get your pooch back soon.

Yes $50

All those who say he ran off I guess it's possible but I just don't believe that. he was not the type of dog that bolted every time the gate was open.

He never would leave the yard even when he was out so not sure why all the sudden he would leave and never come back.

Girlfriend did, she confronted them about while they were trying to sell it in a Walmart parking lot so she just called the police and it was returned

What the frick? That's your dog, man.

I don't care who the guy was. My dog is a part of my family.

10yo or not, there are enough shitty people all over for something like this to happen. Hopefully your pup got picked up by someone while it was wandering the street and that person hasn't seen the flyers yet. Good Luck.

No, but I would make Liam Neeson in Taken look like Mr. Rogers.

Take his photo to all vets in your area - let them know he is missing, perhaps stolen, and ask that they scan any dog that looks like him.

My 2 year old Chocolate Lab went missing. I got a tip that a cop was trying to give away a Beagle because he didn't get along with his new chocolate lab. When I rang the door bell my lab ran out of his house and jumped through the window of my car. The cops children started crying and he offer $200 dollars for my $500 dog. I drove away with out saying a word.

You should have taken his $200 and still drove off.

Why are cop and dog stories always the worst?
