If it’s done well, you have a good group, and everyone is into it, it’s loads of fun.

Much like anything else

Did you go to a theater or was it a diy thing.

Yep. I went with an ex gf and some of her friends to one and they were clearly not very into it. I think they just didn't have anything else to do so they went not really knowing what it was going to be.

Needless to say, they pretty much ruined the event for everyone because they wanted to leave the whole time to go to the same few bars they went to every Friday and Saturday night.

So pick a good group to go with and pick one where the actors have good reviews.

Exactly what fr33manator said. My fiancee and I attended one last year and it was a lot of fun especially when everybody is into it and character, and of course, a lot of drinking.

I've been to a few.

One was about the ren days, had the king, the queen, and his royal wenches. Place was called the royal dump. More of a comedy, with the king calling the ladies wenches and broads.

King also made the females in each group grab all the food dishes to feed the men.

2nd was a murder one, but there was some dude who got all drunk and would yell shite, and it got awkward, they had to take him into the lobby and have a talk with him. He pretty much ruined the mood of it being a suspense, trying to figure out the killer.

Yes and it was a lot of fun. Pay close attention to the evidence if you want to be the one yo solve the mystery. I ended up being the murder victim st the one I went to.

Been to both. One professional which was a little chintzy honestly, with a bunch of strangers.

One at a friends house, everyone into it, libations flowed, sex was snuck off and had.

I liked that one better

Enjoy the real life pictures the movie is based off of.

1972 Rothschild Dinner Party for secret societies.

Just a few examples, way more inside, very interesting.

I’ve seen some of those before. Not much on creepy occult shite or drunken assholes though.

We have talked about renting a house with some friends for the weekend and doing the diy version but always wondered if the actors were integral to pulling it off or not.

An OT IRL dinner mystery? I’m kinda intrigued actually.
