I loathe Microsoft, but I grudgingly admit that Teams is excellent. It makes my job so much easier.

We pretty much use MS stuff now. Teams keeps me from talking to idiots all day.

I'm assuming with the AI improvements, there will be less software to hinder things. I would think MicroSoft would have less usage eventually

Sure sure... because Microsoft has always been concerned with privacy and security. Such a solid track record with both. They don't harvest data like everyone else....oh wait.... they do.

Quit pretending they are even slightly better than everyone else. And yes, I use them.

Because Slack and Zoom are far superior to Teams. There’s a reason why they exist and companies that already pay for Teams also pay for both of these. Also, as mentioned previously, Zoom phone is amazing, however Zoom support and their AEs are shite!

Whatever job you have sounds miserable and it seems like you are very unsuited for it.

Just a technical point: You can still use Gmail as a platform with a dedicated email domain like fake@td.com....

The best part of Teams is being able to communicate in memes.
Before retiring, I used memes on Teams all the time.

Teams is pretty good. Easy to learn, handles most everything, fairly intuitive. Beats the hell outta Blackboard

Yeah, there's a lot of technical ignorance going on in this thread. Look no further than not mentioning Google's Meet or Chat products and thinking everyone uses Zoom or Slack instead. Google business suite has a great ecosystem if you buy into it and know how to leverage it.

People are just biased to what they're accustomed to.
