I live about a mile from New Orleans. Haven't gotten tired of going there yet. The only thing that annoys me is people driving slow, e.g., going 15 all the way down St Charles

I'm leaving this year for California and while New Orleans will always be home, I'm not going to miss it. I'll miss family and friends, food and prices lol but as for the city itself? I honestly don't know. It's a beautiful city but I've haaaad so many awful nights from being puked on, nearly mugged, drinks thrown at me, awful overage fat women flashing me while their husbands scream in my face at how great their tits are... I won't miss any of that lol.

With all of that said though, I imagine after a couple months in California, I will miss it. After all, it's home.

Lasted 4 years. Yes there are many negatives and you barely cracked the surface with your list. But, there are many unmatched positives that New Orleans offers, which is why it is a desirable place to live.

I moved to NOLA about a year ago from BR. Sure New Orleans has it problems but I am glad it's not Baton Rouge

Louisiana in general is a shitty state. Terrible infrastructure, terrible education system, terrible politics, widespread bigotry and ignorance, lack of diversified economy, etc.

I love Nola but I can't see why anyone would pay $250/sq ft to live a block away from a crack-house.

This is not the kind of NOLA thread that will go 10+ pages. Now post something about the economy being great, jobs, housing market still on the upswing, and especially post a link about NOLA being in a top 10 best of list, and you'll get your 10-20 pages.

Why does your only time in NOLA only involve shitty nights out on bourbon dealing with rednecks and thugs? Pretty sad

I can deal with most of that. The deal breakers for me were the horrible job market and astronomical cost of living. That's why I moved to the Landmass.

I didn't say it was only that, it was just mostly that unfortunately. As I said, it's a beautiful city, but way too many idiots who don't know how to hold their liquor or behave in public.

No. Sorry you have a tiny dick and a below average IQ. Don't let the door hit you on the way up north.

Good luck. Watch you're booty in the progressive gender neutral bathrooms in the sprawling metropolis of Seattle.

Convince me that you've done something other than walk up and down Bourbon. You sound pretty shallow. LOL

Hipsters all around

It's a very trendy thing to act like hipsters are the devil, but what have they ever done to you? Maybe in some places where there's a lot of them they could get annoying, but in the south are they really a problem?

Stay out the bywater and you really won't see them. Even when there they judge me minimally.
