Anyone else suffer from persistent word finding difficulty when speaking?

I am referring to difficulty remembering the most mundane/insignificant and uncomplicated words mid sentence in a conversation whether during formal speaking or casual conversation with friends.
I would not call this a stutter. It is a complete forgetfulness of a common word in the middle of a discussion. It happens to me frequently and appears to be getting worse. I am 40 now and noticed it first in my 20's.
Doctors never seemed concerned. I started Topamax about 3 years ago for migraine prevention. The neurologist warned that my word finding may get much worse. But I did not experience a significant increase. Just the same uptick over time as before.
Just curious to hear any other experiences and what other doctors may have said/done about it. As of now it is simply a nuisance. I just worry it will become more than that one day. Full disclosure - head MRI was normal.

Serious response. Didn't you answer your own question with the doctor's warning about Topamax?

Never happens to me. I've learned that I am pretty potato with thinking up the right words.

I think kids are sometimes tested for "verbal recall" fluency... as part of some larger neuro-psychological tests (like testing for ADHD, etc.)
To the extent it really matters to you, you could look at wikipedia for the following:
verbal memory
recall (memory)
as a starting point to potentially understand and/or try to find helpful info (again, if it's something that matters enough to you).
One other possibility is anomic aphasia, which is a condition specifically relating to difficulty with recalling words.

Words.

It happens to me a lot. I blame it on depression and anxiety meds.

Yeah. I cut out carbs and sugar. My mind is sharper. I am not a hippie that does fad diets, but cutting out carbs and sugar, and taking a beta blocker has done wonders for me. Haven't had a migraine in 1.5 years. There was a point where I thought death was a serious option for my head pain. I can't even call it a headache.
