Yes. I earn an extremely enviable salary, I enjoy my colleagues and my bosses, and generally enjoy what I do. No. I have no desire to live in an age and time when every single day I wake up and know that I am likely in a fight for my family’s literal survival. If I fail, I likely die, and whatever individual or group kills me will then kill my son and likely rape and kidnap my wife and daughter. What foolish grandstanding. There are many areas of the world that are lawless and bloody. The Sudan immersed in brutal civil war, the Sahel where Jihadists prowl, the Al-Shabab controlled areas of Somalia, eastern Congo, the wastes of Mexico and areas in South America where sadistic narcos rule, Myanmar, Haiti, the list goes on and on. You should go to one of those places to satisfy your supposed desire. If you aren't beheaded, tortured, or enslaved in short order, you'll be begging to return to the greatest democracy in human history. Don't wish for horror.

Last night I put my baby girl to bed, then I poured 2 Abita ambers into one glass. Started drinking those while my wife got our son settled for the night. She joined me, and had a glass of chardonnay while we streamed a show on Prime. After which we fricked on our pillow top mattress, in the air conditioning…
Sure, I dream of living like my papaw… but he grew up on a sharecropping farm in Yalobousha County and lied about his age in order to enlist in the Navy at 15 and ship off to war.
Makes you think… cold beer, air conditioning, fine women, and soft beds are something to consider
