So what's the point of their website?

A place to store images online, I guess.
I'm blocked from using it as a host site now.

Made the switch on Friday. Took only a few minutes.

What did you switch to?

Yep. Went to imgur last week. Bastards.

Tinypic is owned by Photobucket, so maybe they will pull the same crap in the future.
I am switching to Postimage. Hopefully it will remain free. I hear at least one other photo hosting company is starting to make a shift in how they do business. Could it be a trend?
It sure has messed up a lot of hobbyist forums with huge archives of pictures from fishing, camping, guns, etc. Lots of old posts and databases which took many hours to compile are now useless. Many pictures may be lost forever and some people say photo bucket has blocked or completely deleted their photos.
I did a search on the Tech Board and couldn't find a related post on this which is surprising.

There was a thread on the Help board.
I sent Photobucket a message and let them know that their lack of advance notice of the change in terms ("Surprise! Our customers are screwed!") made it damned sure I would never pay them for anything.

Thanks Chicken, I looked yesterday, but must not have been doing something right.

Photobuckets site is almost unusable. The constant ads are ridiculous.
I switched to Imgur and wonder how the hell photobucket is still up and running.

frick them in the arse. I just deleted all of my photos from the last 7 years because I couldn't access them and I will not have someone try to extort shite from me.

My only issue with imgur is that I can't figure out how to make pictures private. Any random image I post here is taken out of context on imgur where any imgur user can view and comment. Which usually leads to me telling them to frick off.

After the mass migration, Imgur will start charging $100.

I wish TigerDroppings would let people host avatar images anywhere like they used to. I have my own paid webhosting but I have to use approved free services... bleh.
