If you think that’s creepy you oughta see people in Alexandria act like it’s some kind of holiday

You don't sound very fun.

That's why you rent an apartment on St Charles as your base station.

I agree if you're at the point where, outside of the biggest games, you're so upset because the Saints lost a normal regular season game that you can't focus at work.

At the same, though, we have to live for something in this world. If I'm just drifting through life, with nothing I'm truly passionate about, the weeks passing by and you barely notice, that's a pretty sad way of living.

It’s sort of like LSU football home games for Baton Rouge residents
really? I live in BR and haven’t been to a home game since 2010.

I have gone to parades in NOLA since then.

If spectator sports is what you "live for in this world", that's damn sad as well.

Nope. I don’t find it creepy at all.
And Hail Endymion.

Fans = Fanatics. Most fandom can be weird.

Everyone has something they're a fan of.

It’s one of the few things to get excited about in Louisiana. People celebrating their culture, history, and taking a week or so to relax per year is not what I would define as creepy.

It's the "Live, Laugh, Love" for basic bitches that think they're somehow uniquely local.

Hail Endymion, I’ve been in major t-shirt rolling mode…

I look forward to going to breakfast with our float group and then pre parade antics…

The annual thread of people from everywhere but Nola bitching about Mardi Gras in Nola. Tale as old as time...

If you think Mardi Gras is nothing but drunk trash flashing titties that's on you.

There are many different ways that people can go overboard about it which could be described different ways, but the only creepy ways are the hard core secret balls and the weird traditions at the high level krewes.

It's not like "Eyes Wide Shut" stuff is going on. There are some deluded mofos on here.

If you can’t find good food and music in Nola, then there is no hope for you.

Not creepy but at the same time, especially lately, not really into it.

Creepy? No but I know of people who are over the top with it.

I like Mardi Gras but I'm not obsessed like some people.

I pull floats in Houma,LA and I love the money I make doing it and enjoy doing it in general, if I wasn't pulling I'd likely not make it to many parades because I hate the obnoxious drunks and people fighting over plastic Chinese trinkets as if they were worth anything.

The worst is watching adults push children out the way for the junk.

It's also obnoxious how so many people can't have a good time or enjoy anything especially mardi gras without being drunk.

People on my feed whining that Christmas needs to hurry and let's skip this and that so we can get to Mardi Gras is also pretty trashy
