i was upset at a world class athlete leaving almost a third of a meter on the table from the first jump but she nailed it on the second one.

I was living in Atlanta before and during the 96 Olympics near where some of the athletes lived and trained. It's weird how you can just tell these people are elite, world class athletes when you see them walking down the street or in a store. They just have a different gait, presence and aura. Unless it's someone famous like Michael Phelps you don't recognize them but you just know they are Olympic athletes as soon as you see them. It's weird and crazy to stand next to some Cuban triple jumper or Ukranian heptathlete and feel so physically intimidated and in awe.
