Anyone actually happy with Cox or Directv?

Preface: Originally signed up with the AT&T internet + directv in 2 year contract. AT&T internet got worse (not even 1 MB/s) so switched over to Cox internet ($49.99 month to month). Directv contract ended so cancelled the service.
For shits and giggles I just called Cox to see about adding TV. Awesome lady hooked us up with HBO, sports pak 1 + 2, redzone, and kept our 50 MB/s internet for $124 total with no contract. Should I expect bad things to come of this? I tend to only see bad things regarding Cox on here.
TL/DR: Anyone else actually happy with their Cox or Directv service/bill?

I was happy with direct TV until they tagged me with a $400 termination fee when I moved

No problem with DirecTV here. I actually love the picture that I get on their HD channels.

I know. I just didn't like it. I'd been a customer for years and didn't realize that by upgrading my service I was committing myself to a new contract. So they got their $400, but frick em.

I have bounced around between most of the providers and honestly, don't see a lot of difference between them. if you want to bounce around, you can save a few bucks on promotional rates, but other than that, they are all pretty much the same, IMO...

Yeah I cancelled because the bill originally was $45, was up to $93 now. I was very pleased with directv, great quality, good customer service and good prices for the first year. After that I just saw increase after increase

love direct tv. nothing beats nfl sunday ticket to waste a day with on sunday. great customer service as well.

I've had Charter/Cox/Dish/Direct. Cox is by far the worst. Price increases are ridiculous. I have Direct at my camp because I have no cable choices and I thought Direct would be the best bet, but I'll be switching to Dish out there soon enough. I prefer Dish, which I have at my home currently. Same damn channels for less.

Thats about the only reason we went with cox today. They threw in redzone and nfl network for free. Didnt even realize they had those channels

Did you have to sign a 2 yr contract?

I'm very happy with DirecTV.

No, it's a month to month contract. Price is guaranteed for at least a year

I've had DTV since the 90's & have always been happy with their service. But my bill has gone up to around $150/mo, and that's with NO movie channels. Half the bill is for equipment rental fees for 8 TV's, only 2 of which are ever watched simultanoiusly. I'm seriously considering canceling once my last 2 year contract ext is up in Dec.

I have Cox for Internet and Direct for TV and I'm happy with both.

Been a loyal DirecTV customer for years. If you pressure them a little they will give you what you want.
I also have Cox high-speed internet.

I'm currently happy with Cox, and my parents were happy with them for a long time.
Recently, Cox has turned to dog shite in Watson, LA.
