Hell in Maine we would get 2-4feet and you would go to work..As long as the planes are flying tomorrow. I am going to work.
When we lived in Bossier we got 10inches of snow and went to work. Its not hard to drive in snow, better than ice.

Came in tonight at 5:00pm and stuck here until Thursday morning.

Yep. If you died getting to work, you’d be replaced without thought. I no longer worry about my employer. When I’m working I give my all. And more. But now I take care of me first. I’ve done my time and even put work over my family. Not anymore.

Yep, I still have to be there at 4:30 in the morning. At least my drive is only 2 miles from work.

We’ve let our employees know normal protocol. If you can’t come to work, you need to take PTO. You don’t just get a ‘free day’ off. Our essential people can find a way to get here, so can you or feel free to use your PTO.

Working now, well not really, just getting paid to sleep in an office. They feed us, pay us around the clock, but I'll probably be stuck here until Thursday.

I hope every slapdick who had a hand in ruining college football has to drive in the am and humbles themselves. You can take that whichever way you like.

I've said this a lot recently. And you're right.

Supposed to be very cold Wednesday night as well... could be a lot of ice still on the road

How many of you coldcucks aren’t at work today? Glad I’m an essential and the plant is giving us triple time today

I consult at a nursing home. Was there today and employees who don’t shelter in place there and take a chance on being able to go in will be written up if they can’t make it.
They’re offering a bonus to employees who shelter in place. Have to bring anything you need.
Same for us, although we excused anyone who could not make it in (hourly employees). They have the option to use a PTO day so they can still get paid.
For those who are working, we are paying "hazard pay." It's an extra $5 per hour, on top of their regular hourly shift. We allowed quite a few of our associates to stay overnight last night so they didn't have to get out on the road to come to work.
As for me, I'm leaving shortly. I'm not excited about driving today, and especially this evening and tomorrow, but it is what it is.

I'm in the office - short commute here in St Tammany.
Getting home will be interesting

Doubled up the shifts starting yesterday evening and they will stay until Thursday morning. Ride out crew just like for hurricanes. Staff work from home, so turn on the computer, call into morning meeting, then play in the snow.

Yep. We had over 80" in 10 days last year, still made it to work everyday. Though one night I got stuck three times coming to work, and cut my hand to where it needed stitches.

It’s funny hearing local news begging people to stay off roads when the news trucks are out there. It’s like leftist lecturing about global warming when they fly in a jet.

Tomorrow will be one of the safest days of the year to go to work. There will be very little traffic on the road. A little ice on the road is a lot safer than all these dumbass drivers on the road.
Who would say some dumbass shite like this?
