You know... The drivers are so bad... that its safer to drive on a road covered with ice than with bad drivers.. It wasn't meant to be literal. Yet I am the dumbass..

How the fuk do we know if you joking or not? Most posters thought you were serious judging by the down votes you got.

Interstate won't be a problem. Traffic will keep it from icing over.
It's the smaller surface streets that will be slick with ice.

I assumed people would know that it wasn't a literal statement.

Ours finally called it, but they’ll expect us to get double done since we will be home

People assume you’re stupid enough to have a take that bad. And there’s mountains of evidence to support them

Lucky for us, the men folk in the 1940's were made of stronger stuff. Otherwise we would have never won WWII.

I consult at a nursing home. Was there today and employees who don’t shelter in place there and take a chance on being able to go in will be written up if they can’t make it.

They’re offering a bonus to employees who shelter in place. Have to bring anything you need.

I’m sheltering in place at least thru Thursday morning. At least they provide us everything we need.

Told my folks to take care of themselves and their families and work will wait until the weather improves.

Does that fit your narrative?

The elevated sections can and will likely freeze so it’s a pretty good bet LADOT chooses to shut down the interstate late tonight/early am.

That’s the challenge with releasing the hounds on wed am, shite will still be frozen.

This will definitely happen. Ice trucks only travel on Hwy 190 because the interstate has too many bridges over water. We can’t ice them enough to trust the entire passage.

I work better in the office. I don't care if the staff stays home, I'm working where I prefer to work.
