I the kind you're confusing liberal with corporate. This is a huge corporate event:
Trucks that pulled the float sponsored by Dodge
McDonald's
Disney
Nike
Etc.

I've always liked watching the various HS bands and dancing corps. Then of course the arrival of Santa Claus.

But my God, I know mainstream music hasn't fallen off that much. Has it? Some of those float acts are just awful.

Well at least it looks like Tony Bennett is actually singing.

Every time TLEE posts he reminds of madame delphine from American horror story when she wakes up in 2013 and is horrified that minorities are a part of society now

I'd just like to say I can take or leave 90% of the parade as long as I can watch Santa's entrance.

The National Dog Show is where it's at these days.

I liked the young kids wondering who De La Soul was.

Damn if those dudes look that old, I guess I am too?

TLEE, next time Cats is playing down here would accompany me if I were to purchase tickets?

I feel this could be an educational experience for both of us.

Hell it might be on a Saints weekend and I'll even let you wear my brees SB jersey to the dome!

I've been to the parade many times and its on the tv in the house when we are getting ready, eating breakfast, and etc. I'm not really a parade person and that includes those boring Mardi Gras parades (I like the social gathering don't watch the parade, enjoyed riding in some). I don't see where there's a political agenda to the parade. It's basically for children. The broadway skits are cool, granted we prolly wouldn't go to most of them that they show and we are theater people.
But how the parade angers people I really don't understand. NYC is a great place and this is my favorite weekend to be there.
