My girls are watching it as well. My oldest daughter just said "why are they showing this woman in a cat costume instead of the big balloons". My youngest followed up with, "mommie, I dont like this song. Can we change it?"

Now they are happy though to see the Trolls balloons.

You need to set them up with their own movie/tv/music reviewer show on youtube.

could be awesome

It's become hard to watch. It's like a big sales pitch. Just show me the damn parade!

It is terrible. You either give a shite about Broadway or you don't. I don't and neither does any child that any parent is tuning in to let their kid watch. They show the floats as they cut to commercial.

I'd have a royal red arse if I fought to get to a good spot with my kid only to see it stop every 3 minutes for a damned song and dance number.

No, Lee, nobody is watching the most famous Thanksgiving Day Parade show ever.

BTW, it's great that your kid can skin a buck and run a line, but if you really wanted to help your kid, then you would also teach him about other things in life that would help him grow culturally. It's the variety of experiences in life that make us well rounded people.

Makes me sad that his kids have probably never seen a Disney movie.

But there's a huge difference btw exposing them to all aspects of life, and shoving a liberal agenda in their face and down their collective throats at every turn. The display currently underway in NYC, unfortunately, is the latter.

Lee those balloons are pretty girly and hipster. Better not let the kids see that. You need to MAGA. You're the only hope. Go get little Billy-Bob to sacrifice a buck

I disagree. I think that's a teachable moment. If you feel that a show, moment in time, etc. goes against your beliefs, then while they're exposed to those situations, rationally explain why you disagree. To simply not expose them to those situations does nothing...

Also, the parade is a parade...there's no liberal bias here. And trust me, I would be the first to call out a BS liberal bias.

What exactly about dancing cats is part of the liberal agenda?

I don't care about the parade, nor AFAIK do any of the kids in my extended family, but some of the posts in this thread are just s leetle over the top.

There would be ALOT of triggered people out there if we did that. Sounds like the perfect reason to make this reality.

I'm just waiting to see Santa Claus, Jesus and Donald Trump stroll by together all cheesing, smoking cigars and waving to the haters.
