Sound Warehouse. I worked there when I was in school. Changed to Blockbuster Music in the mid 90s.

Man. I went when it was Blockbuster often in the mid-90s. Loved being able to try before buying CDs.

It's hard to convey to my kids today how we used to buy entire CDs or Tapes based on liking 1 or 2 songs we'd heard on the radio.

That concept is lost in the digital age.

The problem with using digital streaming for music is that an 'album' (or CD) is arranged in a certain way. It's not just 10-12 songs randomly thrown together. It was meant to be listened to in a complete sitting in order, to tell a story or get a feel for what the artist is conveying. Just randomly creating playlists or skipping through random songs on Spotify, Pandora, etc, loses that.

I believe that was CD Warehouse. They mostly sold used cds.
