I’ve seen so many cases of petty thieves who have access to the company’s funds who start to believe they can get away with it, and over time, it’s hundreds of thousands or millions from a grandma bookkeeper with a Pokeno addiction.

Exactly...

Happens more than you think. I dated a girl whose sister was busted stealing up to $300K from the church where she held some position in which she was in charge of funding. She had a serious gambling problem, and went to jail for a short time.

This A-hole stole from the alumni board which conducts fund raisers for the school. I wonder if he just started stealing because $8500 doesn't seem like a lot. What they do is start small and see what they can get away with, then eventually get bigger.

Kudos to Rummel for the audit. I wonder if someone tipped them off about the possible theft.

Is he related to the late Alan Tusa from Covington? Seems like just a touch old to be one of his kids, but maybe a nephew or something

I knew him. Not his son.

Pretty sure Chad is Mikes son. If it’s the Mike and Chad I used to know, they seemed like ok guys.

I’m guessing they saying it’s an ongoing investigation because there is more that may still be uncovered.

Yep.
One easy thing that I’ve known to happen twice is the person in charge of the books gets the bank statements and doctors the report pages to show different numbers.

It was a joke. The sprinklers never went off - no children got wet.

Is there a date attached to Chad’s crimes at Rummel? If recent then a pretty shitty job by Rummel to keep this loser around.
