Thats just silly. This incident wouldve gone completely unnoticed in NO or BR. Probably even most of JP. The fact it happened in Mandeville is part of what made it newsworthy.

Hasnt been arrested as of yet. Apparently he went straight to the VA in New Orleans after the incident and checked himself in. Said he was having a PTSD Episode.

A captain from the unit in hammond could have multiple deployments just with that national guard unit.
He could also have been active duty before transferring to the guard.
