Admittedly don’t play as much as I used to. But, in a nutshell, yes to both. Mid 50’s, married for 30 years and bought and sold a few guitars and amps over the years. Current fleet consists of;

Yeah, I bought that for my kid one Christmas and he played for about a month. Now it just hangs on the wall for a splash of color.
Just got the two white Jacksons a few weeks ago. Before that I played the crimson Jackson RR almost exclusively for the past 10 years, and the red Dynasty for the 20 years before that. I bought the black Les Paul in 1981 for my first electric, but quit playing it after a few years because it’s so damn heavy. It stays in the case mostly.
