I took a screenshot of this, and sent it to my son. In the last 3-1/2 years, he has graduated college, got a job at a bank, and bought a Telecaster, a Les Paul, a Stratocaster, some acoustic guitar, and a frickton of strings, pickups, amps, repeaters, wah wah pedals, etc.

I hope he has his shite together.

Yeah, don't listen to OP. My former lead player (who's on the first track I linked) is now an electrical engineer making OT baller money out of state. He still gigs regularly and has an album dropping later this spring.

Buddy of mine plays guitar (not incredibly well, but he can play) and is a biomechanical engineer making probably $175k a year.

I don’t play guitar and also don’t make $175k a year.

Which bass(es) do you own? Any favorites?

If you’re in the market for amps, frick the new Ampeg shite. Nothing but problems.

That's a sweet rig. My current lead guitarist plays on a 5150 as well. I'm sure that Bumpkin is lurking around this thread somewhere

I'm an LP man myself
Mine's the one on the left.

I have a vintage SG and an old fender tube amp collecting dust. I need to break them out again and play some shitty music. Those orange amps are pretty. Nice setup

No, the gun jammed and all the bullets are all kinds of stuck up in there.

I cannot stress enough the importance of not cheating out on the earbuds. Get s molded set with 6 drivers minimum or you’ll have serious drop off in certain frequencies depending on your EQ.

I've got a '72 J-Bass and a one or two year old Rickenbacker 4003. I like the J for playing with folks but I practice on the Rick.

I was talking about a wireless system for the guitar so I can be more mobile on stage (and off stage), not in-ear monitors. Those are farther down the "to-buy" list due to cost.

shite, misread that. Cutting the cord is freeing.

Hemphead... I love the way J-Basses play. My pops gave me his 75’ P when I finished school... that thing is heavy! I find myself playing my Ibanez BTB745 more than anything else.

I disagree, you need some A, E, and F as well. Maybe even the occassional B.
