How big are you looking to go? Saltwater or fresh?

Expensive on time and money. Even if you're not doing the service work. Pain in the arse.

Kids love aquariums, but you already know that.

Cheaper to buy a 50"-60" flat screen smart TV and youtube 4K aquarium. You can change out fish by doing a new search.

Frame the TV and it looks legit

Saltwater or Fresh? If saltwater, get ready to spend alot of time and $! I've had one for over 6yrs now and love it though.

I think it would be cheaper to offer the kids candy and more effective to use a puppy.

The ATM guys? What kind of tank? Be aware, if its acrylic, it will scratch a lot easier than glass. But, if its a very large tank, acrylic may be the best option.

Is this going to be for fish, or severed zombie heads?

I personally enjoy my aquarium:

The OT told me that home aquariums are a ripoff because they are luxuries that aren't essential for survival.

Also, fish are marked up.

If you must buy one though, buy used. And do all the work yourself. Use it till it breaks.

No. You're paying someone to build and maintain it

Just sit their with your victim and enjoy the tank

Alot of money, yes

Alot of time? Meh.

I've had a saltwater reef tank going for 5 or so years now. After the first year/once its established it pretty much takes care of itself.

Other than feeding and the occasional water change.
