Anybody ever have Giordanos pizza shipped?

Don't plan on being in Chicago or Orlando again anytime soon but want some of the pizza. Anybody had it in restaurant and by mail? How does it compare?

I have a friend that gets them shipped and they love it. They seem pricey though

I know it's fantastic on site. Every time I'm in Orlando or Chicago I get it.
I'm just not sure about nationwide shipping of partially baked pizzas. You can get 6 for $119 but limited to cheese, pepperoni, and sausage.
Not in Chicago classic. I'm wondering if it's close to as great.

I've heard it's pretty good. I mean, even the shitty ones at the Cubs games are decent.

Try Lou Malnatti's. I've had theirs shipped and it's great.

When I worked at a summer camp for girls in northern wisconsin (in my younger years), most of the girls were from chicago, and their parents would ship up Lou Malnati's. So I know they also ship pizza.

Pequods is my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza. I've been told that Burt's Place is really good as well.

I order them from time to time. They are a pretty good sub for the real deal, and they will stay good in the freezer for 6 months.
the cooking process is a bit strange. you microwave them for 6-7 minutes, and then put them in the over for 45-50 minutes.

Pequod's is good, but I feel like it could be argued that that's more of a thick pan pizza than deep dish...simply because the bottom crust is so thick.

My wife had some shipped to me after we visited Chicago. I think we've done two and they come out very well. Not as good as fresh from the restaurant obviously, but damn good.
You do not need a deep dish pan and your definitely microwave that bad boy.

For reasons left unsaid, I ordered two pizzas for my folks as a Christmas present last year.
We got pepperoni and cheese. Both were fantastic.
Price is expensive for pizza, but it was a bucket list item to have that pizza. It's a far different pie than anything I've ever had in the south. A true deep dish pizza.

Being that it's from Chicago, it probably won't show up.
Sorry still bitter about the NLCS.
I've had it both and although it is not exactly the same it is pretty similar. I wasn't disappointed unlike the fricking Cubs.

Giordanos sucks.
Lou Malnatis has the best Chicago style.
Pequods is great but its not Chicago style. Chicago pizza and oven grinder co. also.

That place is weird. It's a pot pie. It's not bad, but if you were prepared for regular pizza, you might be disappointed.

We get 3 pies from Lou Malnati's shipped to us once a year from friends up there.
We keep them in the freezer, follow the directions and heat them in the oven, they taste great.
