Ours runs when the heater isn't on too. I probably run ours every month of the year at least a few times

I have my nest set to stay between 60-70 at all times. It will heat or cool as necessary.

Turned my AC on last night as well. Electric bill $35 in winter and gas is on level billing at $35/month. Highest electric bill last year was $145 in July.
Going to have the AC guy come out for spring checkup soon. Although unit is only a year old.

Exactly. 73-74 degrees may be a comfortable temp in the summer, but in the spring the humidity in the house climbs and makes it uncomfortable and stale. I've had the air on 70 to keep the humidity in check.
