Any way to get the gas smell out of a vehicle?

I replaced the in-tank fuel filter on my car today and funky dark gas poured out of the old filter onto the sound deadening under my back seat. There were two gas connections and two electrical connections that were a biatch to get unconnected. Well the first fuel one I’ve was pretty easy, that’s we’re the fuel drained out.
Smells nice. I think I should mask the smell instead of trying to do something to that deadening material. Hang something from the mirror?
No more leaks...knocks on wood. Hydraulic fluid, oil (which would drip onto manifold and smell terrible), and fuel leak that smelled terrible too. From the outside it finally smells good, now the inside...

That’s precisely why I fixed the cracked filter...it was a bomb waiting to happen. Pressurized fuel misting out was not good.

I don’t think you’ll have much luck getting the smell out unless you replace that padding/carpet.

Spend a couple hours a day in there with the windows up and the air not running. Take as many big sniffs as you can. Eventually you’ll sniff up all the gas smelling particles.

Take a few friends for a long drive, light a few blunts with the windows rolled up. After awhile you won't notice the gas smell anymore.

1/2 lb of raw shrimp, park in sun, leave for 1 week. Gas smell will be less noticeable.

Charcoal will absorb some of smell along with baking soda
