Trading in the truck and making the switch to a mid-size or large SUV.

Narrowed it down to a 4Runner, Tahoe/Yukon, or Wranger. Leaning 4Runner. OT opinions welcome.

Rented one 3-4 times.

Good vehicle. Kind of low rent on the interior unless you get the premium. Drives and rides like a pickup truck.

I like them.

Yukon is much nicer and tows more. 4Runner is much easier to park.

If you like those two, you may want to consider the Grand Cherokee as well.

4Runner owner here. Would 10000% go Yukon Denali if we could afford that.

ETA Let me clarify, we do like the 4Runner a lot. It ain't no Denali tho.

I'm about to do the exact same thing and have been asking everybody I see driving one, how they like it?

I have yet to find anyone that doesn't love the 4 runner

Have a friend that just bought a new one.

Pros:
Truck chassis
Plenty of room
Toyota reliability

Cons:
Truck fuel mileage and truck ride
Expensive for what it is
Some are not fans of the current exterior styling

What kind of truck are you reading in? Driving a 4 Runner is pretty much like driving a Tacoma.

I have a soft spot for the TRD/Trail Premium edition 4Runners....but the Denali is much nicer.

The Denali is also much more expensive.

Nissan Frontier Crew cab 4x4

It's been a great truck. Just too small for a growing family.

ETA: Can't put our lab in the back of the truck for trips and what-not.

Kind of pissed Nissan discontinued the XTerra and turned the Pathfinder into a minivan.

Both of those would probably fit your needs if they still existed as they did 3-4 years ago.

I love the 4Runner, but the GC is a great all around design. It's got very good off road capability, but the chassis also makes highway driving very easy and comfortable.

They are great SUVs.

Have a 2008 and Got it new. Love it. Perfect size, timeless appearance imo. But yeah, you can get a car with more bells and whistles for the same money. Paying for reliability. Great resale value.

Plan on driving it for 300k

Yea, MomWafer's (no pics) Denali was just over 2x the cost of our 4Runner.

Im hoping we keep this 4Runnwr long enough to give it to our daughter....since we brought her home from the hospital in it after she was born.
