None. Tablets hurt children's development. Children's minds are naturally wired to get rewards from exploring their world and through real life play. This encourages children to learn and grow. Giving them a tablet rewires their brains to get rewards through apps and games, causing them to neglect real world life lessons at the expense of flashy screens.
I was trying to think of a better reply, but that emoticon covered it perfectly.

This is the biggest load of bullcrap I've read all day. I agree tablet time has to be limited and there needs to be a balance, but there are many programs that aid in a child's cognitive development, especially with problem solving and math.
In 10 years you'll see what kids were allowed no electronic time whatsoever.....they won't be on the dean's list
ETA: efrad I'm willing you bet your typing your replies to this on a mobile device?

Not at ages 2-3.

I'm not, but it wouldn't matter either way because I am 29, not 2-3.

Not at ages 2-3.
People do this weird thing where they just automatically think any kid with a tablet is on it hours a day.
Since my kids were about that age, 2-3, they got 15 minutes in the morning and another 15 in the evening. Why would anyone think that is sooooo wrong is beyond me.

None. It will stunt their mental growth and create an idiot

Because children who are ages 2-3 need to dedicate their time to learning and adapting to the physical and social world of human life. It's just too early to start with screen time at that stage of development. They begin to neglect the stimuli in real life and seek the overexciting stimuli of what's on screen.

Look to find a used iPad on Craigslist or the Let it go app

Wait, are you serious? Your kids are probably useless pieces of shite. Not because of tablets. Because they're raised by an ignorant dickhead

This post doesn't apply to other scenarios though, I'd hope you can realize that.

On what planet does a kid that young need a tablet, much less one that they consider "theirs".

Not to mention the wealth of learning and developmental apps they have for kids at 2-3. It's weird that people think it's just automatically Sooooooo bad and not helpful for a child to be on a tablet.

Not necessarily true. Like anything, it depends on what they are doing "on screen." 3 isn't too young for a tablet no more than 3 being too young for watching a TV show. Parental guidance makes a difference.

It's a gigantic assumption that most of these parents are using tablets for educational purposes. Dollars to donuts, they are slapping Netflix on there so the kid will shut up and sit in the corner.
