Any recommendations on a wireless / remote home security system?

any recommendations on a wireless home security system? My fiancee and I are moving into a new place in Metairie and she's pretty adamant about getting a home security system for the place we are moving into.
We would prefer for it to not be wired into the house, but be wireless.
I'm looking at SimpliSafe, but I wanted to see what others think before we move too quick on the decision.
Thanks, fellas

Build a deep moat around your house and you’ll never have a bit of trouble

Arlo... wireless/battery operated. Notifies you when motion sets cameras off in real-time

I got a 2gig system I like. In addition to door and window sensors they included a couple of glass break mics. And there’s an app that controls the security system and the thermostat.
The company that installed it was just acquired by ADT.

Check out Abode, founded by former ADT exec.
Simplisafe seems solid.
Nest has an alarm system that ties into their cams

I love SimpliSafe. Buy only what you need and no contracts. Have an app on my phone to arm/disarm. Only $25/month. Really easy to install yourself. Had it about a year and zero problems.

Just got set up with Arlo. 4 cameras.
Will never have anything else.
You can shop and match old and new cameras to make it more affordable. You’re able to have anywhere from one to five cameras.
Or just drop $900 for the Pro 2 set

Steal someones' ADT sign from their yard and plant it in yours to deter criminals. saves you a bunch of money

I read once the best thing to do is to have a sign in your yard that is a different security system than what you actually have.
So have an ADT sign but use SimpliSafe or vice versa
A sign by itself deters most criminals, but having a sign gives the more “pro” breaking and entering criminals a heads up of what they are about to encounter, and most systems will have some sort of flaw/something that can be exploited (knowing how to hit a door or window to test if the system is armed...know that Simplisafe uses the base with fake keypad, etc) that they can research.
Having them prepare for Simplisafe but actually encounter ADT gets them in every way.

I can get a lot more answers on here. I know when and when not to post on tech board

Some people say this causes confusion for cops responding to a break in.
