What is a CUV

Crossover Utility Vehicle. It's a Tall station wagon or van for people who don't want a station wagon or van. They are usually based on a minivan or car chassis, lack low range four wheel drive, and would probably break something off road. A Nissan Murano, Chevy Traverse, Toyota Highlander, Ford Escape or Honda Pilot would fall in this category. Some of them are very narrowly focused on luxury or sport (like the Audi Q5) can be fun to own.

To me, an SUV is more of a jack of all trades IMO. They usually have an optional low range 4x4, tow 3-4 tons or more. These are usually based on a truck or designed from the ground up to be an SUV. The Chevy Suburban, GMC Yukon, Toyota 4Runner, Range Rover, or Chevy Tahoe fall into that category.

At least this is how I define them. I just can't put a Tahoe Z71, Land Cruiser, or Wrangler into the same category as a Nissan Rogue or Honda CR-V. The intent of their design is just too different.

Rappers wear chains and flaunt, because they feel worthless inside and think they have to prove their worth by displaying materials.

And what does that bring you except the adoration of the lower class money grubbers("DAMMNNN, Fly ride bruh")

Elevate yourself, don't rely on facades.

Kujo no offense, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Im not gonna sit here and say a 335i is a cool car or anything but I have a car, well for the wife, that is well over $100,000 and its not making me work any harder or dig myself into an early grave. Some people believe it or not make money, pay their taxes and wish to enjoy themselves in their free time. You need to chill out with the assumptions bc you're very mistaken. People with nice cars aren't morons, they're people with more disposable income than they have a need for, so they dispose of it in a matter they enjoy. I'd love to know what your take on cars is? Buy a full depreciated 7-8 year old car and then enjoy a few thousand a year in repair bills? What a way to live life. I personally am gonna enjoy my 75 years on this planet, god willing I get that many.

I know what a crossover is, I literally have never seen them referred to as a CUV before this thread.

It's the common term for crossovers/ those not BOF.

Honda CRV in the touring package is pretty nice. In the 32k price range.

Get a CPO Cayenne. S if you need an extra 100HP (you don't, the V6 is fine). Best CPO program in the biz but you probably won't need it because the Porsche is bulletproof.

If you don't need the extra cargo space you can go with the Macan S. 360hp twin turbo V-6. Extremely fun to drive and the interior is absolutely beautiful. 0-60 in 5 seconds.

From the outside I thought the Macan & Cayenne were near enough the same size but inside they're worlds apart. The backseat of the Cayenne seems like it has as much room as my old F150 crew cab, the Macan is tight. They're both great though.

The slope of the Macan roof makes it even tighter in the back than my SQ5. It doesn't bother me because I didn't buy it to drive four people around.

$60k is a little tight because it eliminates most of the higher end vehicles in the class.

I'm waiting for the RSQ5 in 2018 and will probably bump up to that then. Or a Macan Turbo. The handling in those is insane.

Was researching luxury crossovers for my wife a few weeks back. We ended up putting off the decision but my favorite was Audi SQ5. Quattro technology is pretty impressive and SQ5 has the kind of power you would expect for a $60K ride.

My biggest shock while researching is the pathetic 4 cylinder engines they put in some of these crossovers like LR Discovery Sport and Volvo XC90. Dealbreaker in my opinion.

If your budget is $60k I'd say either an Audi sq5 or the Volvo XC90.

Both will be about the same price. Get the Audi if you want better performance and don't mind something on the smaller end of the spectrum. Get the Volvo if you want what's being reviewed as the absolute best suv on the market, regardless of price. The Volvo is also bigger than the Audi.

Fwiw I own an Audi s5(absolutely love it) and my wife and I were recently in the market for an suv. We were looking at ford, gmc, Honda and basically stumbled upon the Volvo XC60 (smaller version of the xc90) and got a great lease deal at the end of December. The exterior is sporty and the interior is luxurious enough ( better than the American cars we tested, not quite as nice as my Audi)

Edit- if you are considering the sq5 I'd agree with others that the macan is worth a look
