It happens. Usually due to stall or severe mechanical breakdown.

MMF
Mandatory Medicated Flight
It's a must for trans-Atlantic flights.

Wait. Are you recommending having your assignation with the flight attendant in the lavatory or are you saying to PIIHB?

I'm deathly afraid and I have to fly soon.
X-Lax. Lots of it. You wont have time to worry about flying if you are worried about shitting your pants the whole time.

Listen to the Muslim call to prayer, it's very soothing

I find it helps to look around at other passengers and flight attendants. If they're pretty calm, I'm more at ease.
On a flight from Charlotte to MSY, we hit some really bad turbulence where the flight attendants ran to their seats to put seatbelts on. The some really loud whistling started from the back of the plane.
You would not have wanted to look at the passengers on that flight

Most fliers are scared. Breathe in for four seconds, hold breath for four seconds, breathe out for four seconds.
This will calm you down. Also think of things you are grateful for. It is impossible to feel anxiety and gratitude at the same time.
Also start walking a little bit. Exercise gets rid of stress.

I'm not scared of flying. I took my first flight ever 3 years ago and have flown about 40 times since.
That time with the plane howling and another time where we made a hard bank after takeoff were the only 2 times I've been nervous on a plane

No need to be nervous about flying. Piece of cake!
It's the crashing part that sucks. That's what I'd be worried about.
Good luck.
