My friend group is big into pickleball now, so it's time for my own paddle.

Any suggestions on a good control paddle under $300?

Sad how millenials will spend $300 to try to feel like part of a group when y’all could go to church for free

Honestly, I am in the minority amongst pickleball players, but I don't believe in spending a lot of money on pickleball paddles. They all pretty much feel the same to me and I think it's much more about technique than what paddle you're using.

Save your money and buy a cheaper paddle.

Be careful, we just lost Matthew Perry to the sport.

The Joola Scorpius in 16mm is a good control paddle.

And after playing for a year now and getting decent at it (DUPR 3.6) I believe control is way more important than power.

I play with a Volair Forza Mach 1

I’ve also played with a Joola Perseus Ben Johns.

I’m glad they have a sport for senior citizens where they can stay active and get so invested in it. Our local sports park has a really big pickle ball group but we are like a retirement community so they need that kinda thing

Essentially all paddles are less than $300.

Get a Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm, it's $100.

It's more of a "sport" than golf is

It was created for senior citizens and is now proudly being played by skinny-fat 50 year olds. Sad.

It was actually a sport that 3 dads made to play with their kids, but okay

ETA: the dads were all around 40 years old at the time

Oh it was made for kids too small to play tennis? Then carry on, middle-aged men. It’s all good.

The kids were teenagers at the time, but keep digging, you might be right one of these days
