Is this a thing to impress and ace that interview? Maybe you unemployed folks are going about the interview process the wrong way.

I've never used a binder, but my Dawson's Creek trapper keeper has landed me a ton of jobs.

Negative...IMO it all really depends on your character. I try to control the interview as much as I can. Instead of being put on the spot and being bombarded with questions..I normally hit the ground running with providing information about myself and steer the conversation in the way I want it to go. It works for me, may not work for you. Bring whatever makes your feel comfortable.

Actually, I have. My area of work is dependent upon visual results, so there were a lot of before/after pictures to show successes at previous and current place of employment.

Yes
I work for the govt. their interviews are different then most others. They can be very long and detailed. It's very important to show/tell everything. I have notes with certian aspects of work history and training as it relates to the position so I don't miss nothing

LSU fans freaking out over this binder is one the dumbest memes I've seen on this website.

I've done a binder, but it was an in house promotion and I wanted to highlight various things I created.
