Even when I have to rent a tux I try to get a real bow tie. The strap one just looks so corny. Unless I'm standing in a wedding or something where I have to match perfectly, I'd rather tie my own

I wear one to work. Occasionally one of the technicians at the missile plant will need assistance running a lathe or something. Of course, as soon as I hop in my Plymouth Reliant K at the end of the day, it comes right off.

I had a clip on for Easter, came with my awesome JCPenney or Sears Suit. 100% Polyester and would make a mortician drool with envy. I think I was seven years old. The only clip on tie I've ever had.
