Powell Perralta is reissuing a lot of the old decks again. I have been thinking of pulling my old deck out to ride around again. Just sounds better than walking the hood for a little excerise.

I used to win every race at Leo's Rollercity behind Cortana Mall. Frontwards, backwards and two man. I couldn't be touched

Depends on the brand really. Skateone.com if your an powell peralta fan. oldskullskateboards.com is nice as well. Im 41 and still skate every week. I mainly ride the popsicle decks but have an old school deck for the nostalgia.

I have a longboard but I have not used it in at least 2 years

I have 78a's. So while its not a really a hard ramp wheel, its not like you can squeeze them. I think most longboard wheels and electric boards are what i would consider soft, running 76 and below.

WANTED: I have been looking to borrow skateboards for a photo shoot in NOLA area. Better if interesting or colorful graphics. Anyone willing to lend out for a day?

Mother in law got my five year old daughter, Luna, a skateboard for Christmas. Luna kept asking me to ride too so I just bought a longboard to cruise around. Like most kids in the 90s, I had a few boards. I was fast and could turn or stop on a dime, but never good at any tricks.

Louisiana native Jordan Trahan just turned pro for Chocolate. He is from Abbeville area. Great guy.
Got a few different pro model boards out
Chocolate is a major brand, Girl and Chocolate are largely the same.

Fwiw if you ask someone if they skaTe, it means you're looking for meth aka Tina. You're welcome for that drug culture tip.

Nice bump on this thread. I ended up getting an anti hero deck with indys and some soft wheels. I later switched to some lighter, faster wheels. I can ollie and pump a little on a half pipe. I do not not skate as much as I would like to. Maybe the Spring will have some nice weather where I'll get out some more.

30+ years ago. I'd break my neck in 10 minutes now.
