Any of y’all use the 5 minute oil change place at Bluebonnet/Perkins?

I’ve always taken my vehicle to dealer for service, but don’t have the time right now and vehicle is at 2% oil life. Is this place reputable or would I be better off just driving it another week or so, till I have the time to take it to the dealer?

Go to some small local garage, not a chain.

The "engines need oil" myth is the biggest scam since they invented vaccines to make our kids autistic and homosexual.

Congrats on overpaying.

You are fine going for another week as long as you aren't towing something a thousand miles.

I go there. It’s fine as soon as you manage to convince them to just change the oil and stop trying to sell you wipers and air filters and shite.

Loved those 5 min oil change places when I lived down there. Beats sitting at a dealership/jiffy lube etc for 30mins while they cone talk to you about their "deal" if changing your air filter for $100 .

obligatory, "turn in your man card baw"

I’ve been using that location for years and have had zero problems. They’re pricy though. You definitely pay for the convenience, though it’s really more like 15 minute oil change.
Still worth it IMO.

I went to the one on Essen today for my usual 10K Mobile 1 change.
I had a $10 coupon but it was still too much.

I’ve used them before - good folks. Oil gets changed and you are in and out in no time. I’ve never had any issues.

My SIL went last Thursday. After it was done guy tells her, it’ll probably smoke a little, but that’s normal. She went home and called me to come look at it. Somehow they cross threaded the oil cap and in the process loosened up the clip that holds the hose onto the radiator reservoir.
I wouldn’t go there.

I wouldn’t trust those places but never really been so hard to say how it would go. As long as you don’t go to Benny’s. Heard enough horror stories about getting it done there

Went to the one on Essen. Got home and saw my hood wasnt even close to being closed. Opened it and saw a cap to one of the fluids compartment left right where the hatch to the hood closed. I was pissed, but since my car is old, I had let it go.
No way I return there.

Change it yourself if you can spare 20 minutes at home.
