Ah so the groom was a hot head and the state champion wrestler and beat the uninvited guy up. Makes a lot more sense now.

My older sister was engaged to this oily bo-hunk. She got her period the morning of the wedding, so my mom gave her some muscle relaxers to try to chill her out. She was pretty messed up during the whole ceremony. The guy I had a crush on ended up picking me up from the church, so things turned out ok.

I then noticed there were Nerf guns everywhere. They had actually planned a Nerf war for the reception.

That sounds awesome.

Went to a wedding/reception one time where there was no alcohol.

It was terrible.

I remember going to a wedding and getting drunk at a house on Bourbon Street.

Then some goober in a suit was staring at me as I pissed next to the beer pong table in the courtyard.

I ended up banging his girl a few weeks later.

Was a groomsman if a fellow posters wedding. Me and his new brother in law smoked a joint out front of the church in front of NOPD before the wedding

I look at girlfriend I would soon be dumping and tell her it is time to go.

I'm upset this is how your story ended. My imagination runs to a situation where you and your gf got into a fight on how trashy that wedding was and your acronym for her turns from GIWSBD to GID (Girl I Dumped)

My Dad always talks about my aunts wedding back in 1973 when my Mom was pregnant for me. Apparently one of the bridesmaids was looking for some action and one of my uncles took her up on it. They were kissing in the middle of the dance floor and didn't notice that the music stopped and continued to kiss and everyone could see. His wife (My Aunt but not the one getting married) rushes in to break it up and my uncle "accidently" knocked her down and my Grandmother down so my Grandpa knocks my uncle out with one punch on the dance floor. They drag my uncle off of the dance floor because he is knocked out cold and my Grandpa does his father /daughter dance with my other Aunt.

I stood in the wedding where a legitimate brawl erupted after the rehearsal dinner between many of the groomsmen, including the groom. The instigator left town that night and didn't come back, so another groomsman just walked with bridesmaids on each arm to take his spot.

It was actually one of the more enjoyable weekends of my life.

MOST weddings typically don't have the booze going on BUT, none at the reception...that's the saddest thing I've ever heard
