I had one five years ago before I had to get a truck for work. Solid car. Big enough to be a luxury car, small and nimble enough to be sporty. It's deceptively fast as well. I miss it.

Had the black on black with tinted out windows.

If it’s anything like the 450 GLS is nothing more than cheap plastic parts, including the alleged wood panel trim.
The mechanics are great. The engine is great. The service costs are ridiculous, and $500 to change out the battery which is hidden under the passenger’s front seat.
Other than that ….

German cars are chic until you have to get them serviced.

Hell, it’s $400 to get a Yukon xl battery replaced.

Car shite is just expensive now.

FYI. I swapped it out myself for only the price of the battery. $175.

My last Lyft home from the hospital was in in an e450, he got another hospital pick up call in Ruston to do after dropping me off.

Seemed like a nice vehicle but I was still woozy from the meds.

Normally I would to, but I’m not removing the front passenger seat to get to the battery. Just ridiculous.

I don't know which number Mercedes the ol' girl had, but it was an SUV. I was getting gas yesterday and she pulled up to the pump behind me (on the same side), got out, hit the locks, and walked into the store. A truck drove by toward the pump on the other side of her, and her alarm went off. She stopped it. A guy walked by the SUV, and the alarm went off. She stopped it. I finished pumping, put the nozzle back, got in my ride, closed the door, and her alarm went off. She stopped it. I got my shite in order, cranked up, pulled away, and her alarm went off. She stopped it.

The alarm on that thing went off four times in less than five minutes. I'd be at the dealership as soon as I left that gas station if I were her.

Hope you're planning on going new and leasing it. You don't want to deal with the maintenance costs on those things.

What does one have to do with the other?

When you lease you're under factory warranty for the duration of the lease assuming you don't go crazy with your miles.

That's what I thought, just a weird conflation. There is zero reason you couldn't buy with cash or finance the car and sell/trade it within the warranty period. Leasing has nothing to do with the issue.
