I've seen two and heard of a third friend's bad episodes. Seeing things, drawing symbols, being the keymaster to another dimension, etc. All three ended up in handcuffs.

Stress+lack of sleep+Ambien is a bad combination. Don't know how it's on the market.

fricking Government got in bed with Sanofi Aventis to supply Marines and Soldiers in Iraq and Afgan with Anti-Depressants and Ambin to help them "Sleep" and deal with the war they were in. More like function as mindless killers some times. The Marine the was convicted of leaving base and murdering several civilians plead and argued that he didn't do it. e was on Ambien and had no memory of doing it. fricking shite is the devil and no one should frick around with that stuff.

I had a friend get a DWI on Ambien. He doesn't remember anything but woke up in a gas station parking lot getting arrested.

Lady in my neighborhood took two and played bumper cars down about three blocks. Ended up in the back of mine parked on the street in front of my house.

i posted a thread about it when it happened but my mom had a really funny experience with it.

She is 60 and woke up the next day to learn she had performed the following actions while under the influence of ambien

Baked a complete cake, frosted it...and subsequently threw it in the trash

Washed all dishes from the baking operation

Left all 4 burners on her stove set to "High"

Went outside and filled the bird feeder with dry dog food

Not mine but my brothers friend drove like 4 hours in the middle of the night to a ex gf place.

They both where dating other people for about a year or so when this happen. So wasn't a recent break up. At least this was his excuse trying go explain it to his new lady.

Manager at one of my companies different offices came into work still under the affects from the night before. He got into his work truck and ran into 3 other company trucks, parked and then walked in at sat at his desk like nothing happened. People found the damage and then watched the security cameras to find out who did it, company had him escorted home for the day.

My sister took it one time, didn't go right to bed and had a what I would call a zombie reaction. She wasn't asleep, but she wasn't awake either. She would answer questions, and could walk with assistance. Weird. The worst of it was over in a couple of hours and she was fine the next day. That was the last time she took ambien.

So I have another Ambien story that I've been sworn to secrecy on due to the embarrassing nature of it. But I'm anonymous on here, so whatever.

My mother-in-law and father-in-law took an overseas trip to Japan a few years ago. The flight there was really long, and they decided to take an Ambien to sleep most of the way there. I guess Ambien makes some people lose their sexual inhibitions, and I guess my mother-in-law is one of those people. Apparently she tried to get busy with my father-in-law mid flight. She doesn't drink and gave her a glass of wine that knocked her out before things got really out of hand. She still blushes a little whenever Ambien is discussed around her.

A lady I worked for used to pop Ambiens and drink wine. She was always falling down. Broke her arm once.

I took it in college once and forgot I had an exam to study for, so I stayed up.

There were three other people sitting around the table with me that disappeared every time I looked up.

Once I saw a 2 inch Crow (Brandon Lee with white makeup) walking along the bedrail back and forth for about an hour.
Another- I took it but couldn't go to sleep, so I read the same page in a book about 30 times. Never could grasp it. Stupidly, I took one and a Norco before going to see Rogue One, and I don't recall one bit of that movie.

I've been taking it for almost a year now and it helps me fall asleep fast and I'm a lot more rested than I was before. However some issues:

I'll have conversations with my wife that she will tell me about the next morning and have no recollection.

It actually causes me to have RLS on occassions - I went to my doctor and she was confused as shite because they usually prescribe ambien to help with RLS.

The worst side effect though is if I wait too long to go to bed after taking it, I'll have very lucid and detailed day-dreams that prevent me from falling asleep. 30 minutes later I'll snap out of it and wonder WTF just happened

A buddy of mine came online under the influence of Ambien and posted this:

LINK

quote:

"Beans, If I was having a major medical problem, and needed immediate assistance, would you come to save me, or make PIIHB jokes. I need to know, so I can decide if I would attempt to spoon with you, then lick a trail down the center of your breasts across your belly button, stopping for a while at your landing strip, before going lips and tongue first in to your soft, clean smelling lips, while flicking and munching on your precious bean, and diving deeper with my tongue into your :dirty region,"

The difference being of course that acid keeps you awake to enjoy the trip, and you usually remember it. Had a lot of mornings in college watching the sun come up and listening to the birds chirping as I tried to get to sleep as the acid wore off.

I took it fairly regularly when I traveled internationally a lot for business and never had any incidents (that I know of). A couple of years ago I had a slate of interviews for a job I really wanted and had to travel to the hiring company's headquarters and spend the night in a hotel the day before. I wanted to get a good night's sleep, so I took one the night before the interviews. I woke up in the morning, on the bed, on top of the covers, with my laptop on my chest playing Archer episodes on Netflix, and empty bottles and candy wrappers from the mini-bar and no recollection of any of that. I haven't taken one since.
