Most of the “Baws” in here only care about the latest in BS infotainment systems & an 84 month loan.
So true.

You don't even have to negotiate. The online price will be 10-12K below MSRP
Sarcasm? If not, then you are overpaying by 5K or so.

I have a 2018. Not sure I'd want to change anything about it.

Do any of the new trucks have the safety features commonly seen in sedans and crossovers.
I’m specifically asking about brake assist/collision avoidance
My son was recently injured by a plant baw in a F150 staring into his phone not recognizing my son was slowing to turn off HWY73
Son will be fine but plant baw hit the back of his car going 50. Lil teen is sore

I've heard that since its very popular with the gays they petitioned to not have the design changed as to not offend anyone.
If you drove a Toyota, you wouldn't spend all your time on the sidewalk. Just a thought.

I think all Toyotas now have the "Safety Sense" as standard equipment on all vehicles, including trucks.

Slight redesign in 2007 and 2014. So probably 2021.

I got it with my 2003 model. I call it "keeping my eyes on the road and not some electronic device". After 16 years, it has worked flawlessly.

Oh I drive a Tundra. Best thing I ever bought other than all the gays hitting on me.

If you’re 2017 is paid off, you’d be crazy to get a new one

Not necessarily. I had a 15 silverado that was paid off, low miles, and at the end of last year I paid a few thousand to upgrade to a new 17. Paid it off a few months after I got it.

Gotcha. But they’ll come down to mid-$30s without serious negotiation
I bought a 2016 Tundra too but sometimes I wish I’d looked at Ram and F150. Tundra engine is strong but the truck feels heavy and not fast compared to the F150.
I have a 2014 CM, and I thought the same thing. Hit the tow/haul button and that's reportedly what the previous tundra models felt like as far as acceleration and throttle response. You can get some plug and play devices to help with that for around $250-400.
I put a toytec radflo 3" lift on mine recently and that's made a HUGE difference in how it drives. The ride is, of course, a bit rougher, but all that bounciness is gone. It corners pretty flat, too. Before it felt like a boat leaning into a turn.

Toyota doesn't really redesign their lineups. The Tacoma is a slow progression since 07. You will see minor tweaks to the Tundra, but nothing major.

I wonder if they update less in order to ensure reliability.
If you make basically the same truck for a longer period of time then the bugs are worked out first year or two but no problems the next 6-7 years.
Changing the styles and always cramming more shite into a truck makes it nice, but also cost a ton of money in research and development and there are always bugs and recalls.
I just don’t think Toyota wants to compete with the Big 3 luxury truck market. They focus on a market of people who want a basic reliable truck they can drive for 8-10 years that’s doesnt cost the same as a small house

I'll be truck shopping soon and considering the Tundra.
