The infotainment and all the dash electronics, touch screen, and camera bull shite is exactly why these vehicles aint gonna be worth shite in 10+ years.

The only place you will be able to get spare parts is the junkyards.

Happy Tundra crewmax owner with no fricking touch screen or camera.

I bought one brand new in 2011. Engine locked up at 52,000 miles. 2000 miles after warranty coverage. Never again. Gas mileage was horrible too

When all these owners begin to need a new truck, Toyota will redesign the Tundra. So, like another 10 years.

They sell every Tundra they build fairly quickly. They also sell 20 times as many Camrys RAV4s and Highlanders. They aren’t worried about it.

I own a Tundra and keep up with the rumors.

Redesign is announced for the 2022 models. This will have them on lots in 2021.

The 2020 has updated the infotainment with android and apple play. Other than that, nothing great until 2021.

He’s annoying but follow Tundradude34 on YouTube to keep up with news.

Lol. The tundra is more expensive than all the other trucks. My dad paid the same thing for a 2WD sr5 (nonleather) that my grandpa paid for a 4wd lariat and the Ford has a bigger engine. And my dad got a pretty good deal on the Toyota.

Tundras have a 60k mile powertrain warranty, not to mention corporate is very good at covering things a little past warranty.
My 14 4x4 gets around 15 mpg also

Got a 2017 Tundra which I love. It’s paid for so I’m not in any rush to upgrade but curious as to anyone knowing if an update is scheduled for 2020. I’ve looked online and can’t seem to find anything. They’re due for an upgrade as the other big 3 are all completely redesigned. The Tundra has looked relatively the same for nearly 10 years.
Why "update" with a bunch of shite you don't need?

No way I can in good conscious drop nearly $50,000 on an XLT

And no way would you need to, unless you are dumb enough to pay sticker. New XLT is around $34k.

My point is that a sticker that high immediately turns me off and i pretty much refuse to even negotiate the price.

You don't even have to negotiate. The online price will be 10-12K below MSRP

Gotcha. But they’ll come down to mid-$30s without serious negotiation

I bought a 2016 Tundra too but sometimes I wish I’d looked at Ram and F150. Tundra engine is strong but the truck feels heavy and not fast compared to the F150.

2006 Tundra is still the best.

I have a 2006 Tundra Limited w 70K miles. Tossed the JBL CD/Cassette combo for modern Alpine head unit and I'm good to go for 10-15 years.

I have a 2012 crewmax tundra with only 72k miles, it's paid off. I've been wondering what's the smarter play, should I drive it considerably longer or trade in relatively soon?
