Any good murder mysteries with truly bizarre aspects that you think you’ve figured out?

Just reading up on Missy Bevers in 2016, the health trainer who was hosting an exercise class early in the morning at a church in Texas. Surveillance cameras picked up a burly man in a SWAT uniform entering the church 18 minute before Missy arrived. He smashes windows with a crow bar. I don’t think the surveillance cameras picked up the actual murder when she arrived. I found this bizarre. Did the killer know the layout of the church and the placement of surveillance cameras?
*Police think it’s a murder disguised as vandalism, but what if it was actual vandalism interrupted by a murder?
And why the conspicuous uniform that doesn’t exactly blend in with the crowd?
Edit: *To clarify, this is the element that I am considering as a new angle to look at the case. As stated below in my follow-up comment, Missy was alone. She arrived at the church about an hour before her students were to show up. There had been a rain storm. If Missy was the target for a "hit," why risk showing up early and waiting around for Missy rather than staking out the parking lot and waiting for her to show up?
What if his goal really was to smash up glass and vandalize the church and he really wasn't expecting Missy and had to kill her when she showed up?

So what exactly do you think you've figured out here?

Epstein didn’t kill himself

Thought that was pretty much proven to be the father in law bc the odd walking gait was identical.

I’m not necessarily saying I’ve figured anything out. I’m inviting responses.
That being said, I am honing in on the question of whether this is a case of vandalism first and the murder being a secondary outcome.
If the target was Missy, why show up first? He would have known Missy had a morning class if he knew her. And if she was late, he would risk be caught by an early arriving student. (Class was at 5:30.)
He could have waited for her to show up and attacked her then.

I didn’t read anything about the gait, but he was under suspicion for having a shirt cleaned. But the blood was proven to be animal blood (as in non-human). Also, he was in California.

They pretty much know who did it. Think he’s dead now. A lot of info about the suspect was released 3-4 weeks ago.

Cops are pretty sure they know who did it. Tons of info released in May/June. A true crime podcast actually helped.

If my memory is correct, I thought most professionals who looked at the case ended up thinking he was really a she based on the gait, no?

No professional said that. That was the local police overthinking what they were seeing on the tape. In 2021 a forensic podiatrist came out and said the distinctive “gait” was nothing more than the effect the weight and bulkiness of the uniform was having on the suspect.
Edit: CBS article on forensic podiatrist.

The Axe-Man of New Orleans was white

I wasn’t calling you out, I’m genuinely curious. I can’t believe something like that would have flown so under the radar. I’m searching YouTube, and the only video I’ve seen in the past month that mentioned a guy dying was the old man whose property they were found on. He died of COVID in January, but was never really a suspect.
They’ve got the fat dude and his dad who had access to a social media account catfishing as a young, good looking guy that made brief contact with Libby. And a transcript was released of an interview he did in 2020, but it didn’t amount to much, certainly not an arrest.

Eh dont think it was him. He had someone lie for him but there were legit other reasons for it. He owned the property but that would be a dumb place to dump the bodies. I think it was the Klines, who admitted they knew what the girls had been doing the night before, so had been communicating with them.
