Antiquetiger’s garage sale threads and Vader’s model threads are always interesting. Both way out of my normal areas of interest, but I’m curiously drawn to them.

you might be the man to ask this off. My family has an old rocking chair built by slaves for slaves. So, slave owned. We loaned to a museum in Charleston for awhile, and have papers verifying its authenticity and that it was typical of slave built and owned furniture of the period. Seat is made of deer hide, though it's severely dried out these days.

Any idea what it would possibly be worth?

I’m pretty naive when it comes to furniture, but I do know it’s all about the builder.
A plain table made by Joe Blow maybe worth $500, but if it was made by Mr Antique Table Guy, it could be worth $1M+.

Unless you have clear papers of its origins and know who built it, I would say it’s not too expensive, $1000 (just a guess)

Size and paper composition may be the best indicators of retail value.

If you look at the one in the link you provided, you can see horizontal lines in the paper. Mine has the same lines. Plus, mine is the same dimensions.

My question is, are reproductions pressed from a plate or just printed?

Mine is pressed.

If some is into old maps. Look for the "old maps" app on your phone. It's a search engine for maps. Basically you highlight a region on the globe and it brings up an the maps they have for that region.

It's really cool. This one is on there.

The original map was likely made in 1721, so the pencil "1719" date is suspect.

In your original thread, I sent your photos to an auction house documents guy (I worked on some legal work related to a show on high end historical auctions, it was shelved but I developed some contacts).

The documents guy who said the photos really were not sufficient for a good analysis, but that it did not appear to be an "original." I put original in quotes because he had a long explanation about how maps can have different printings that are still valuable (my paraphrase).

I did not tell him that your map is apparently pressed.

That’s what I need to find out. How long and how many pressings of the plate were made, and how many plates were made.

I believe I have a winner here, just need to know to what level.

I wouldn’t say I’m an expert but I do use Google maps 5-10 times a day.

Update on the map:

I talked to a couple experts and they said the first thing they look for is “Laid Lines” and “Chain Lines” in the paper. That is the grid you see in the paper when held up to a light.

It does have these, which dates to paper (in a good way)

Update:

I found a watermark in the paper. I cannot quite make it out, but it reads something like “Hamilton Victorian”
