Quit in February after dipping since I was 15. Never had any rings on any of my clothes, and never dipped at work.

Mostly when I worked outside, or on the weekends if I was somewhere drinking.

You spend a lot of time ignoring s lot of people

And Skoal is not chewing tobacco

And no, I don’t dip

ITT: A lot of people don't know what the frick chewing tobacco is.

My grandfather used to chew this shite.

I tried it once. ONCE. I'd pester him for some when I was little and when I was like 5 or 6, he gave me a little leaf and I ate it. It was like that scene from Family Guy when they drink the syrup of ipecac. My mom was pissed, but I never touched that stuff again. To this day, the smell still makes me gag.

Snuff, pipe tobacco, cigarette tobacco, cigars, no problem. Chewing tobacco = retching.

Dipped for over half my life and now need a small skin graph for my lower side gum. Still will occasionally throw one in if fishing or something like that

I started dipping when I was 10, I’m 52 now. When I started, there was only Skoal, Copenhagen, and Happy Days. Then it was Skoal, now it’s Grizzly fine cut wintergreen. Only one dip per day for about the last 15 years, and I give zero fricks what you think.

Early 30s now. From 18 til late 20s dipped a can a day, mostly grizzly Wintergreen. Went through a beechnut chew phase in 2005. In college camel snus came out and I used it occasionally but not a ton. Gradually I would use that more and use dip less. Got to the point where I would only dip at football games or mega blackout drunk. I can now say I haven't dipped since the notre dame.game in 17. I love the snus; it's so much better for you, lasts longer, and you can swallow it so no need for a spit cup. Now granted, I have one in pretty much at all times all day of every day, but it beats dipping. I liken it to vaping over smoking. Its not 100% healthy and great for you but it beats the alternative.

I have a friend that swears his grandmother used snuff when he was a kid. He would see her open up a can and sniff some up her nose.

He decided to try some while he was driving from Austin to Dallas on I-35 in bumper to bumper traffic. He snorted a bunch, his eyes immediately started watering, he was virtually blind, and couldn’t breathe.

Somehow he mananged to get his car stopped on the shoulder. It took him about 30 minutes before he was well enough to continue.

I absolutely do, OP doesn’t seem to. Uses the term chewing tobacco in thread title, talks about Skoal in OP. I felt like all was game.

What Southern man doesn't know the difference between a chew and a dip?

Quit dipping Copenhagen LC after 15 years about 2 weeks ago. Started vaping, no shame.
