The answer is an absolute NO, because you can't preserve fuel that way.
Reducing drag will though. Tailgate an 18wheeler less than 5' a few minutes will help, but you may not be able to come back here and post about it.

That is a stupid strategy.

When I was younger I would tailgate a 18 wheeler when on the interstate during heavy rain and couldn't see. My theory was that is if anything was in the road or anything happened I would be able to stop a lot faster than he could.

I'd reckon you're creating more drag with the widows open that burns more gas than you're probably saving by not running the A/C.

You're better off driving in the right lane at about 68-69 mph.

Windows down and a/c off might be good for a couple mpg.
No, it definitely won't, especially on the highway. Best thing you could do is to make sure your a/c is properly charged and that the accessory belt running it is in good condition. I got an inexpensive R134a gauge kit and check/top off my vehicles every year. I use straight R134a, not the stuff with leak sealers/conditioners/lubricant oil. I use Continental Elite (used to be Goodyear Gatorback) and Dayco Poly-Cog belts, flex a bit easier that standard belts.

No but I have been trying to drive over 100 to get better gas mileage.
I know what this is in reference to and gave you an up vote but can someone please link this thread. I would really like to go back and enjoy.

Put that on the list with the thing that plugs into your lighter that makes your vehicle get like 50% better mileage (it doesn't). Also, open the tailgate of your truck (you get worse economy).

Nah. I just bumped my speed from 82mph to 115mph. Saved me a ton of gas!
