Windows down and a/c off might be good for a couple mpg.

I ran the 470 air conditioner (four windows down at 70 mph) in my younger days but who wants to be a sweaty, sticky, and smelly mess if you don't have to be.

Not sure if serious. It will save a minimal amount at idle and during acceleration. But windows down at 70mph will induce drag.

I'd reckon you're creating more drag with the widows open that burns more gas than you're probably saving by not running the A/C.

I'm no science man, though.

Seems like having all 4 windows down driving 70 would be worse on your gas mileage than running the A/C

I just floor it and try to get where I'm going as fast as possible. Getting there faster saves gas.

I haven't driven faster than 60 in 6 months. I also get right up behind 18 wheelers to reduce drag.

The important thing is when you don't have working A/C in your car, it becomes a necessity.

Usin these quads to save gas.

If I'm in the car I'm coasting more and trying to not take unnecessary trips. I type this knowing that 2 days ago we took a drive up to Bogus Basin just for the hell of it. That was the first time we took a joy ride in a couple weeks.
