re: Anthropologists, at what point do you believe we became sentient?

I don't think you understand evolution TBH
If evolution produces morality it's because God exists.

I'm fine with it. But universal laws cannot exist without a universal lawgiver.
Sure, I’m fine with that too. The Universal Lawgiver could easily have set into motion a 2 million year long process of evolving morality as well as other traits that set humans apart from animals. Or the Lawgiver could just as easily say “boom! You now have morality.”

reasoning and rationality could not exist if not for a rational God. Your ability to develop thoughts and type them on a well designed computer or phone proves God's existence.
Do you have anything whatsoever to back this insane assertion up?

I should warn you, I am not easily swayed by the ramblings of cult leaders.
Christianity is not a cult because it is true.
Would you not like to know the very best of Christian apologetic argumentation? It would make you all the wiser.

Sentience is a social construct. My dog acts guilty if he poops inside, is that because he understands right and wrong, or because he understands consequences? Now apply that to humans in a slightly more complex fashion.
Elephants personally fascinate me if they are sentient. They have an absolute fascination with death that makes you wonder if they're aware it will eventually happen to them. Koko the Gorilla also makes me wonder how sentient apes are in general. They think Koko had the mental capacity at that of a human three year old.

The fact of the matter is that we have made ZERO progress in solving the hard problem of consciousness. To shut down the idea of God, law giver, etc is extremely ignorant.
It's the greatest scientific challenge of our time. There’s definitely a growing basis within the scientific community that realizes materialism cannot solve the hard problem of consciousness. Our current scientific approach offers no theory at all — only correlations. I am optimistic that we will one day have a science of consciousness, but it won't be science as we know it today. Nothing less than a revolution is called for, and it's already on its way.
Who knows? Maybe the brain evolved to RECEIVE consciousness? It could be an undetected force within the universe that we haven’t discovered.

So do you believe primates are actually evolving through the stone age now?
Chimps for all intents and purposes probably have actually reached the Stone Age.

Lol no. Cimps would be on the verge of extinction if it weren’t for humans keeping their population numbers up.

If you are a materialist then you must believe that there is ultimately no point to life.
If you believe that there is no point to life, why do you live in contradiction to that?
Answer: Not out of any social construct (that would be truly insane), but because there exist universal laws based on the universal lawgiver. There are no absolutes outside of God.
It's called the Transcendental Argument for the existence of God. It was developed by Cornelius Van Til and continues to be the basis of Presuppositional Christian Apologetics today. John Frame has continued the tradition, and Greg Bahnsen mastered the rhetorical aspect of it before his early death in 1995.

Well that is not true. Quantum physics is an emerging field, and we are understanding more and more about how we are made. The JWST will allow us to see deeper in space and understand our beginning.

They know how to use stones as tools and weapons. That technically counts as the stone age so long as you know how to use a stone as a tool.

There’s a lot of scientific evidence for a creator. Maybe not the God of Abraham but a creator of some kind nonetheless.

I'm not shutting down the idea of God or a god or some other unknown power.
I just need evidence.
The God of Gaps is shrinking by the day.

That has nothing to do with their evolution. They can be evolving while being in danger of extinction. See the Toba Bottleneck, in regards to near human extinction.
