Do you not think this could have something to do with Fauci changing course completely over the past couple of weeks in regards to the possibility of Covid escaping from a lab? You're right. It's been verbalized by Fauci himself. The article I posted in the OP is based off of his own writings from 2012 where he supports gain-of-function research in a paper he wrote for the American Society of Microbiology. And then just this past Tuesday he admitted to lawmakers that his NIH organization earmarked $600,000 in funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology over a five-year period.
