No joke, she said either you're progressive or "regressive". And I think she liked me so she spent part of the rest of the date trying to convince me I'm not really conservative.
We had a good makeout and then after she texted me "liking country music doesn't mean you're conservative". I wanted to just reply back "I know"
. And said I should've invited her back for my final drink on the balcony with a wink face. But I digress...some of the stories from my dates could make for epic threads on here.

Clancy was prescribed Zoloft, Ativan, Buspar, Trazadone, Ambien, Remeron, Klonopin, Lamital, Seroquel, Prozac all with in a 5 month period by 4 or 5 different doctors. Any one of these can cause mental health/stability issues on their own. when starting and stopping, upping and lowering dosage , combining them...so many ways they can produce psychotic states. Im not going to debate the responsibility of her own actions but the doctors prescribing those medications w/o properly communicating with one another deserve scrutiny

You can't really blame the doctors when it's not a controlled substance. There are many different Electronic Health Records platforms and they don't all talk, so what the doctor has to go off is the information they can get and what the patient tells them. I guess they could do a blood or urine test before writing more SSRIs or whatever but that's not gonna become standard practice.

I said scrutiny, as in rigorous investigation ....not blame. And I know there was a good bit of in trial...frankly there needs to be much more scrutiny and comprehensive reform when it comes to prescribing these drugs in particular. The fact that anyone could prescribed that regimen of drugs over such a short period of time to supposedly treat post partum depression or any mental health issue should be concern for everyone.
I had a close relative go from being a functional adult to a complete basket case within a 48 hour period just from simply upping the dose of just one of these drugs (zoloft). She was cognitive of enough to understand what was happening and seek help immediately but it could ve been a disaster.

Generally speaking you are correct .....anti psychotics by themselves dont cause psychosis to emerge or worsen. But paradoxical reaction ...while rare , are in the literature. when combined with other medications or abruptly stopping them can also cause all kinds of issues.
