The Columbine shooting in '99 is still talked about today.
This story is only hours old,and it's already been relegated to punchlines and commentary from the left about "no fetuses were harmed" or from the right about how guns don't kill.

We are the very reason these still occur. As long as it doesn't harm your family or perhaps your home town, America just shrugs these shootings off and goes about its day.

You mean where one person died?

As for the proposals not stopping this, shows we need harsher proposals.

And how about the bombs and running over people in crowds.

How about that one?

Or how stabbings are getting so bad in Britain they are talking about banning knives.

Why do you choose to be obtuse and act like a fool? Is it genetic? And why do you wish to bam law abiding citizens of their right to self protection knowing laws only hinder those who obey them?

I'll wait for your ridiculous and nonsensical response to laugh for a few moments.

I wonder if the lack of attention these shootings are receiving today is an effort to not bring attention to the shooters?

But what do you mean by

The President (a man I took great care to treat with respect and an open mind) blew it off.

I thought that incident said a lot about the real problems in American culture and the federal government in particular.

An officer in the army commanded by Obama, insulated from discipline by the ideology of Obama's party (religious tolerance, diversity, etc.), perpetrated a mass murder in the name of the religion of Obama's father.

If Obama had been the sort of leader I'd hoped he would be when he got elected, he would have taken pains to distance himself from the intersecting flavors of stupidity that led to the Fort Hood Massacre. He might have used it as an opportunity to speak frankly about the limits of tolerance and diversity.

Instead, he (or at least his administration) called in an example of "violence in the workplace." Pretending that was the problem is what I meant by "blowing it off."

It's the liberals as usual who dont give a shite about victims and just want to take my guns away who are making it political here.

Is your argument that you shouldn’t have laws and rules because people break them anyway?

People speed. Why have speed limits?
People do drugs. Why make them illegal?

Just because it occurs, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to do something about it and help curb their occurrences. When an epidemic takes place, doing nothing is morally irresponsible.

Hope you can stop laughing long enough to try critical thinking.

Yet none of the politicians who are huge on gun control ever mention harsh proposals

Shows they aren’t serious and are just trying to win votes

So is doing something that is wrong.

The “we must do something, anything” sentiment is extremely dangerous

They just want law abiding citizens guns. They can't be stupid enough to think the gangs, mob, crooked police that exist, and others won't fill th3 vacuum and believe violence won't increase. He'll Australia is more violent now than before. Guns act as an insulation to violence when a criminal thinks about attacking.

Shooting like these happen mostly because the outcome of deaths is almost assured. Most work places are gun free zones. You are a naturally sitting duck. Schools, public places, etc..

Logic is not needed these days.

Second hand smoke kills more people every year than firearms. Including suicide.

It ain’t about how many people die. It’s about pulling heart strings.

Downvotes from dumbfricks who don’t like facts

I don't agree with speed limits or drug prohibition either.

This can’t be said or emphasized enough. Emoting and acting on impulse leads to bad things.

It's just the same old song and dance, CNN will report about guns, FoxNews will downplay the guns, the beat goes on. Frankly, I think the MSM just has no more angles to go for. These are so commonplace,it seems, they'd just as well get back to discussing what's going on in Washington

Agreed. Making them illegal is just a stupid feel good measure that drives a police state and doesn’t alleviate the problem

Brother the day you get my guns is the day you would die or i would.

Hope you understand that.

One has to do with my self god given protections from a higher power than man and other has to do with a privilege of driving a fricking car.
